  • Activity details: Construction of solid fuselage model and flying.

2] b) Hollow Fuselage  (Intermediate Level)

Duration: 7 hrs

Eligible Age group: Class 5 and above

  • Topics Covered: Introduction to Aeromodelling, Parts, and forces of aircraft,

Controlling surfaces, Construction, and flying of model

  • Activity details: Construction of 110 cm hollow fuselage model and flying.

2] c) Tow Line model (Advance Level)

Duration : 7 hrs

Eligible Age group : Class 5 and above

  • Topics Covered: Introduction to Aeromodelling, Parts and forces of aircraft, Controlling surfaces, Construction and flying of model
  • Activity details: Construction of tow line model with bigger wing span.

Course Benefits

Participants will gain knowledge towards basic Aeromodelling and construction of big wing span models.

 

3] 2-week Workshop

Control line model

Itinerary of the Event

Duration : 2 weeks (2 hrs per day)

Eligible Age group : Class 5 and above

Program Details:

  • Topics Covered: Introduction of Aeromodelling, history of aeronautics ,

Parts of an aircraft, forces acting on an aircraft, controlling

Surfaces and construction and flying of a model.

  • Activity details :   control line model and flying. (Kit materials will be provided)

Course Benefits

Participants will gain knowledge towards basic Aeromodelling, control surfaces and flying of the control line.

 

4] 2-week Workshop

4] a) Slow Powered Glider (RC glider)

Duration : 2 weeks

Eligible Age group : Class 6 and above

Program Details

  • Topics Covered: Introduction of Aeromodelling, history of aeronautics ,

Parts of an aircraft, forces acting on an aircraft, controlling

Surfaces,  construction and flying of the model.

  • Activity details :  construction of RC gliders and flying.

Course Benefits

Participants will gain knowledge towards basic Aeromodelling and flying of control line model.

NOTE: The above work shop can be conducted for engineering students as well.

 

b) Slow Powered Glider (Sun Bird)

Parts of an aircraft, forces acting on an aircraft, controlling

Surfaces,  construction and flying of the model.

  • Activity details :  construction of sun bird model and flying

5] 2 week Workshop (Drones)

Itinerary of the Event

Duration : 2 weeks (2 hrs per day)

Eligible Age group : Class 6 and above

Program Details

  • Topics Covered: the introduction of Drones, importance and its applications.
  • Activity details: construction of drones and flying.

Course Benefits

Participants will gain knowledge towards drones and flying.

NOTE: The above work shop can be conducted for engineering students as well.

 

Level 01

Aim:-

Introduce the participants into the world of flying and give them basic idea of an aircraft and to understand the history of Aviation, along with principles of aircraft and its aero-dynamics.

 

Eligibility Criteria:-

Students of Grade 4th and above can enroll towards this course.

 

Duration:-

Course comprises 22 sessions of both theoretical as well as “Model-building” activities will be imparted to participating students.

 

Topics Covered:-

Introduction to Aeromodelling and its importance, parts of an aircraft and its functions, forces acting on aircraft and construction of the models.

The Participants, will build two types of models.

  1. Static model: – The participants will construct a Tigermoth model.
  2.  Glider model: – The participants will construct a 140 cm glider.

 

Course Benefits:-

Participants will gain knowledge towards basic Aircraft and will learn the Construction and Flying of glider, Introduction to Aeromodelling, Newtonian Principles, Categories of Model, Working principles of a Plane, Construction and Flying of a mode and many more.

 

Level 02

Aim:

Participants will be motivated to gain more knowledge in the Construction and flying of control line aircrafts on field.

Eligibility Criteria:-

This is open to school as well as to college students who have completed the Level 01 Course

Duration:-

Course comprises 22 sessions of both theoretical as well as “Model-building” activities will be imparted to participating students.

Topics Covered:-

Introduction to control line, flight mechanics, types of motors, propellers and electronics, construction and flying the model.

Course Benefits:-

  • Each Participant will construct an ‘Electric Powered Control line’
  • Participants will gain knowledge towards control line and will be taught how to control the flying model.

Working of Control Surface during flight of the Aircrafts

Level 03

The advanced Aeromodelling course offered by Young Innovators involves the construction and flying of Radio controlled Aircraft. The criterion for this is the completion of all previous levels of courses. A 22 session course this module acts as a bridge between amateur and professional Aero-modelling.

 

Aim: Construction and flying of Radio controlled model, The Sunbird.

Eligibility Criteria: Participants who have completed all the previous levels and excelled in their performance.

Duration: Course comprises 22 sessions of Design, Construction, Fabricating and Flying as well as technology aspect behind it.

Topics Covered: This course would give the students a holistic approach towards learning Aeromodelling and also it is a bridge between the amateur and professional Aero-modelling. This course leads towards training the students to participate in the International Aero-modelling Competitions.

Course Benefits:

  • The course also provides an in-depth exposure of the technical intricacies involved in the study of Aeromodelling.
  • This course is also expected to set a platform for those students who would eventually be seeking higher studies in the subject and aspiring for further research work in Aero-modelling.
